Welcome to the Second Week! Here are this week's questions hosted by Questions for Chapters 7-13 hosted by Christy@Love of Books head over and link up!
1. Heven's mom has a new boyfriend that Heven doesn’t really like. Have you ever disliked a boyfriend/girlfriend of family member’s significant other? Did you tell them or just try to get along?
Yes, in the beginning my sister's boyfriend and I didn't exactly hit it off. He was a mountain man, hunter, firefighter and definitely a bit rugged around the edges. When my sister moved him into my parent's house without asking, while they were on vacation, I was a bit put off.....Needless to say, ten years later they are happily married and proud new parents and by gones are by gones and we all get along fantastically.
2. Kimber is acting weird… weirder than usual. Any predictions? Have you ever known anyone like Kimber?
At this point in the book, I had no idea what was going on with Kimber. I thought she was definitely turning a bit psycho driven by her insane jealousy of Heven and worried that Cole was cheating on her. And I knew that she had some intense feelings because Heven saw a lot of red in her aura. Thankfully, I have not known anyone like Kimber, and if I did, I would certainly steer clear. I do not like to hang with the dramatic, jealous types! I can't make predictions since I have read the whole book.
3. Heven is getting a new “supernatural” power. If you could have one which would you choose?
Super powers are always fun to think about. I have pondered this question numerous times on other read alongs, and I like the idea of flying and invisibility, but I would be invisible if my clothes turned invisible, too. None of that reappearing naked crap for me. However, after much though I am picking teleporting because I would love to be able to head to the beach on rain dreary days in the winter in Oregon and recharge. An afternoon in a hammock with a book would be the perfect escape, and be home in time for dinner.
4. In this set of chapters we find out something about Cole. Were you surprised?
No, once I saw the way Heven's grandma reacted when she saw Cole I was not surprised at all. Furthermore, I always got the impression that he was going to play an important role in Heven's life and I didn't think for a minute it would be a love interest.
5. Heven has someone invading her dreams. What is the scariest or wackiest dream you have ever had?
I have had my fair share of wacky and scary dreams. I especially noticed that during my second pregnancy I had some really bizarre and terrifying dreams. One night, I dreamed that I went into my then two year old daughter's nursery because I thought someone was in there. I turned to see a man with a black face and I tried desperately to scream and could not move. My husband said I was squirming and making weird noises and I told him next time to wake me. I was so frightened. Realistically, it would be hard for anyone to get into my kid's rooms since they are on the third story of the house and we have a dog. The other bizarre dream that I can recall was a runaway steam roller that was mowing people down and when it went to squish them they turned into paper dolls beneath the roller. Weird, I know!
