Today, is Tuesday so that means....Tell Me Something Tuesday. This is the first official post of TMST of 2013, and I decided that there was not better way to kick it off than to have the original hostess, Cambria Hebert, guest post for TMST. She also comes bearing gifts for you all as part of Fiery Hot Reads for Icy Cold Nights.
For those of you who are new to my blog and have not yet met the lovely Cambria Hebert, let me introduce you to her:
Cambria Hebert is the author of the young adult paranormal Heven and Hell series. She loves a caramel latte, hates math and is afraid of chickens (yes, chickens). In addition to her many writing credits she is also the co-host for JournalJabber, a blog talk radio show that focuses on writing and books. She currently lives in Pennsylvania where she is plotting her next book. You can find out more about Cambria and her work by visiting her blog, Facebook, twitter andGoodreads.
Here is Cambria to answer today's question:
Who are some of your favorite romantic couples?
Romantic Book Couples
Ahhh the temperature is dropping (at least where I live Brrrrr!), the sun’s rays only go so far against a bitter wind and the sky falls dark much too soon after the day begins.
But that’s okay. There are plenty of ways to stay warm when the weather is cold. Or even when it isn’t…
No… I am not thinking that! Get your minds out of the gutter people! I am talking about flaming hot couples in books. You know, the men we all sigh over, the ladies who win their hearts… we just can’t seem to get enough of reading about other people’s love lives.
I think we can all agree that there is nothing better than curling up with a blanket and opening the pages of a book to read an epic story of two people and how they fought for love.
The list of fiery book couples could go on for pages… we could make an entire document filled with names and still be able to find more. But for today’s post I thought I would tell you about some of my favorite book couples… the one’s I have read and wrote.
Favorite book couples that I have written about:
Sam & Heven – from the Heven and Hell series
Ahhhh Sam and Heven. I think they have a pretty epic love story (I’m biased but I know a few others who would agree). What makes them epic are the things they have faced to stay together: death (more than once), separation, stalkers, demons, a powerful Prince from hell, lies… the truth. And even more ordinary things like nosy BFF’s and mother’s who insist on cooking chicken even when it always turns out nasty.
I think what makes them special is the fact that they always consider one another – they always put the other first. It is together that they really grow into the people that they are meant to.
Here’s a couple photos of Sam and Heven together when they took a super romantic trip to Rome (you can read all about the trip in book 2 – Charade):
Gemma and Cole – the Heven and Hell series
These two haven’t really gotten much of a chance like Heven and Sam. I mean a human (well kind of) and a fallen angel turned warrior??? An interesting match they make. But Gemma has major reservations about what will happen to Cole’s status after he dies and therefore vows to remain apart from him. But Cole isn’t about to accept that and things between him and Gemma are bound to heat up. You can find out more about their story in my upcoming release Beneath (March 2013), which is a short story that details Gemma (and Cole!) in the Heven and Hell series. And then you can find out how things turn out in Renegade (Spring 2013) in the final novel of the series.
Book Couple #3 – Dex and Piper from Recalled
Dex and Piper are new to the book world, their story releases on Feb. 15, 2013 and they face things that not many other people will. Like Dex’s job. You’re probably thinking who cares – everyone has a job. Yes. But not everyone is a Death Escort. And sometimes escorting death gets in the way of living. Find out if Dex and Piper can make it worth or if death wins out over love.
So those are the hottie book couples that I have written. But what about the ones I’ve read?? Here is my list of top 5 favorite book couples (so far!) in no particular order:
- Clara and Tucker (Unearthly)
- Riley and Mary (Intertwined series)
- Zara and Nick (Need series)
- Peeta and Katniss (Hunger Games)
- Damon and Elena (Vampire Diaries) – okay so I admit this is soley based of the TV show because I haven’t actually read the books BUT for any of you TVD fans you will totally understand why Damon MUST be on this list. And besides, it’s my list I can do what I want.
So those are some of my favorite book couples. Who are yours? Who are looking forward to reading that you haven’t yet?

My Two Cents:
Of course, I have to tell you all my favorite romantic couples!
1. My all time favorite couple is Rhett and Scarlet from Gone with the Wind. An antagonistic romance from the start that is full of plenty of drama, but it will always be the one nearest and dearst to my heart.
2. A romance that still grabs my heart strings and makes me cry is the
one featured in Nicholas Sparks' The Notebook. It is a stirring, heart felt story that will leave you sobbing at the end. Definitely check out the movie if you haven't seen it!
3. A newer couple whom I just recently met are Lela and Malachi from Sarah Fine's Sanctum. Malachi is so noble and brave and kind while Lela is broken, head strong and flawed but some how the two come together and the chemsitry is just right.
4. A romance that is sexy and smoking hot all the time is the one between the feisty Cat and the gorgeous Bones. They are featured in Jeanienne Frost's Night Huntress series, a guilty pleasure of mine. If you are looking for sizzling chemsitry and lots of action, oh
and vampires....don't miss this series!
5. Finally, last a romance that is so sweet and I still don't know how it ends, I will be finding out in the next couple of days is Cynthia Hand's Clara and Tucker from the Unearthly Triology. A handsome Wyoming cowboy and an angel. It is just magic! I hope my heart isn't broken at the end of Boundless!
Those are my picks. Tell us yours!
