Hello lovely readers and fellow book connoisseurs. How was your week? If you are in the U.S., I am guessing you are still feeling a little on edge and emotional. It has been over a week since the election, and I am sad to see so much hate, unrest and negativity. I know that many of us are disappointed in how things turned out, but it isn't going to help the situation by continuing to be unkind. It is almost the holiday season, let's try and spread love and good cheer instead. I am sorry to say that things are still turbulent here in Portland. Many are choosing to participate in anti Trump rallies in downtown Portland, which thankfully, I am far away from. Some are peaceful, while others have chosen to use the rallies as a guise for vandalism and violence. How is that going to help or make anything better? Especially when they are damaging businesses and personal property. I only hope that good sense will prevail. For now, I am unplugging for social media and spending time with my kids, reading books and working on my cross stitches.
Speaking of cross stitches: I just finished another project. I have been stitching like a fiend. This is an owl for my nephew who is expected to arrive the first week of December. It turned out so cute, and I especially love that the moon glows in the dark. Here it is:
I still need to press it and stretch it for framing, but you get the idea. My needlework has been salvation to me this last few months.
And since we all need more positive, I have to share this story I saw, it warmed my heart. Here is a sweet story about a shelter cat who was so sad until he got a home. Read it!
