Whew! It has been crazy busy here, and it isn't letting up. We returned on June 30th from Idaho, after spending two fun filled weeks with family. It was wonderful to go home and see my family and celebrate my birthday in Idaho. I even made it to a family reunion on my dad's side, I haven't been to one in 19 years. It was so good to reconnect with my aunts and uncles and cousins. I am lucky in that I have 47 first cousins total, and I grew up knowing all of them. It is wonderful to belong to such a big, loving family. We played hard and had a lot of fun. The only downside was that I was so busy, I didn't read or cross stitch. The other problem was that my allergies were terrible while in Idaho. So many things in bloom and my body isn't used to those particular allergens anymore. Thankfully, once I returned home to Oregon, my allergies have been in check.
We spent this week trying to catch up and prepare for our trip to the coast which begins next week. I am looking forward to a nice quiet week on the beach with my family.
Hugs and thanks to all of you who continued to visit my blog while I have been away. Once I get through this next couple of weeks, I am hoping to get caught up again. Hopefully, you all are enjoying your summer and reading lots of great books!
I did finish stitching up my Miss Cherry Blossom this past week, I now have to attach hundreds of little beads. She will look spectacular when I get her done. Here is a sneak peek:
