Tell Me Something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post here on Rainy Day Ramblings where I discuss a wide range of topics from books to blogging. Weigh in and join the conversation by adding your thoughts in the comments. If you want to do your own post, grab the question and answer it on your blog. If you are participating, feel free to leave the link to your post in the comments.
This week’s question:
For those who don’t have time to reread series, what would you reread when you found the time?
Since I started blogging over seven years ago, I have not reread a single book. I just don’t have the time to reread books and series. Unfortunately, there are several series that I love that I would love to reread someday. Here are a few:
The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne: I started this series when I started blogging. The series wrapped this spring. It was a long running favorite on the blog for me, but I found that many details and characters were hazy as I waited for the books to be released. This is a series I would love to go back and read back to back to back.
The Charley Davidson Series by Darynda Jones: This series always makes me laugh, and I adore Charley and crew. As the series matured, the plot thickened. I would like to go back and refresh my memory on many of the finer points, plus I know it is good for some laughs.
The Illuminae Files by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman: This is a trilogy that wrapped this year. There is so much going on in all three of the books and I forgot many of the fine details. I would love to go back and pick up the small things I missed the first time out.
The Others by Anne Bishop: I inhaled this series. I couldn’t get enough. This is a series where I just want to go back and savor all the good stuff.
Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews: This is another series that I would love to go back and reread to savor the fun stuff and pick up on all the fine points that I might have missed the first time. Plus this series is so darn good, I want to relive it all.
These are the series I want to reread when I get the time to read them back to back to back. What about you all, what series would you like to take the time to binge read again?
Next week’s TMST:
At what point do you think a series has gone on too long?
